Success Stories

Discover below how we've helped many students like you achieve their dreams.

Ibrahim Alfardan: "Hi guys my name is Ibrahim Alfardan I’ve been studying in New Zealand (Auckland) since beginning of 2004. I studied Foundation course of AUT and now I am continuing my education in BBS Management and Marketing at Massey University. It is a great experience to travel to a new place and to experience a new culture. Sports are a must activity in New Zealand because everyone is active and outgoing. Furthermore New Zealand is a country which is made of two major islands and the South Island in my opinion is more beautiful than the North Island. I went to Dunedin which is located on the South Island with some of my friends and it took us a whole day to reach it but it was worth it because I really enjoyed it." Ibrahim is now a graduate and works at Alfardan financial services

Muhannad Khalid Ismail Al-Muhairi: "New Zealand is a fabulous country. I really enjoyed studying there. I gained a prominent experience while I was studying there. The most significant thing to me is to be ambitious in order to reach the top rank. The most beautiful place I visited was Rotorua where I saw a striking view of the volcanos. I would like to visit the South Island just to enjoy the nature in Queenstown. Furthermore I love New Zealand and recommend students to study there."

Liliya Son: "It is important to pursue your goals and ambitions, and what is more significant is to find the right environment for those ambitions of yours to materialise, that’s why I chose to study in New Zealand. My stay in Auckland testified that there is another place like home, because I found it very easy and comfortable to adapt to the lifestyle of Kiwis. What is also vital is the quality of professional education a student like me has received which is why I think it would be a good choice for other prospective students to look forward to study in New Zealand."

Aliya A Busaidy, Auckland: “Auckland is a beautiful place and the people are friendly. The international student centers in AUT have helped me a lot and have taken good care of me since the day I set foot in New Zealand. After completing four months doing English, I have successfully sat the IELTS test. Currently I am doing the Certificate in Business studies. New Zealand is a safe country and I love it here!” Aliya is a graduate, working in an insurance company in Oman and getting married in September.

Faisal, Hamilton: “As I am currently doing my bachelor of social science , there are a number of subjects I have to take. I am coping very well with all of them.  Hamilton is a busy place and that is what I love about it. Making friends and socialising is what I do the most and the people here are true examples of that. I am enjoying my time and I am very happy.” Faisal is a graduate and back in the UAE

Sabriya Al Naamany, Auckland: “Being an independent person, I didn’t like doing things that others did, therefore I wanted to study something different and in a unique country. Choosing my major was not an issue, as I have always had a passion for media. I came to know through EZone that AUT had the best school in communication studies and I did not hesitate to apply. Sure enough, I am happy, studying what I love the most and having the time of my life!” Sabriya is a graduate working for the German Omani University in Oman.

Dana Al Sarhani, Hamilton: “Hamilton is the agricultural capital in New Zealand, so in and around there are loads of sheep to be seen, and it has the largest river in New Zealand called the Waikato. I live in a studio room that’s only a 15-minute walk from university. My friend and I often go to dinners on campus organized by one of the religious clubs, and it’s a great way to meet people and also pray together. Hamilton is a great place with so much to do and see.” Dana is a graduate and back in Oman

Kaveh Shahrokhi, Wellington: “Studying here is a bit hard because of my language level, but I am managing to deal with it and am doing good. As for living, it can't be better than this! I met lots of people in the hostel last year and all of us flat together in groups of four or five. My room mates all have different backgrounds which is good, because we all learn our cultures. Studying in New Zealand will be one of the biggest experiences in any student’s life. They will enjoy being here very much, you can bet on that!” Kaveh is a graduate and back in Iran, working as the GM of one of the largest companies in Tehran.

Maryam Ghanbari, Dunedin: “ I think New Zealand is outstanding- people are very nice, as you enter the country you feel their warmth even if the temperature is cooler.  Every week my homestay family get together for a meal so I feel very connected to them.  Dunedin is a place where you feel safe- it is a student city so wherever I am I feel safe as people look out for you. New Zealander respect our culture. Maryam is a postgraduate and is about to open her own Art School.

Bahrain Students:"Education Zone sent 60 students from Bahrain to New Zealand the reports we have received so far about them are outstanding, besides they are motivated students and grapple better with the demands of study in English as well as life in a non Arabic speaking country".

Rania Shaban – UAE Students: "Rania is a Masters in Pharmacy student at the University of Auckland, she was voted third in Nujoom alkhalij superstar. Well done Rania".

PHD Programme

Two Years Ago New Zealand announced that international students can go for PHD paying domestic students fees which is 10000 dirhams. I thought this was common knowledge; last night I found out that its not a knowledge that people have, and by just mentioning it to this brilliant Architect  she jumped off her seat.  So I decided to announce it again.  The package can be found by clicking this link www.auckland.ac.nz/uoa/home/for/international-students/phd-study-options and this http://www.victoria.ac.nz/modernletters/student-help/international-students.aspx or any other NZ university website.

University of Aberyswyth challange

We are looking for a selection of 2010 Freshers to produce a number of video blogs (vBlogs) to showcase their thoughts, feelings and experiences in the lead up to the Freshers’ Week, arriving in Aberystwyth and the exciting times which follow. These will be published on the Aberystwyth University website, and will be available for anyone to watch.

vBlogs were trialed last year, gaining a successful online following with over 6000 video views. This could soon be you! You’ll be presented with your very own video camera to help you in this task, and if you have editing skills, we’ll also give you video editing software, although the ability to edit your own vBlogs isn’t essential.

Want to be part of these exciting new videos? All we want you to do is create a 30 second vBlog about ANYTHING you want. This can be recorded on a webcam or a video camera. Prior experience of vBlogging isn’t essential, and all applications will be considered… here’s what we’re looking for:

• The ability to entertain
• To be free to start blogging up to a week before you arrive
• A willingness to film experiences upon arrival
• Someone who can visually communicate their feelings about studying at university
• Dedication and motivation

If your vBlog impresses us, we’ll want you to start blogging prior to your arrival in Aberystwyth, and we’ll ship your new video camera out to you!

If you think you’ve got what it takes to make insightful, entertaining vBlogs, simply email your 30-second vBlog to rzm@aber.ac.uk by 6th September. Don’t forget to include your name, email address, what course you will be studying and if you have any video editing skills.

Winners will be notified by email and announced on Facebook on Friday 10th September.

Robert Gordon University- The Times Good University Guide 2011

I'm delighted to inform you that Robert Gordon University(http://www.rgu.ac.uk/) has performed extremely well in The Times Good University Guide 2011, published today.  We have come 46th overall, the first time we have appeared in the top 50 of this league table.  What is particularly pleasing is that we are the only modern university to appear in the top 50.

And this is the third year in a row that we have been the top modern University in the UK in The Times Good University Guide.  A key factor in our success is our record in graduate-level employment which was again excellent.
